I have been neglectful of my blog, so time to catch up.
The 2 inches is enjoying my new point and shoot camera up front, after some research I decided that it needed to be tough and preferably waterproof. In contention were the Panasonic FT3 and the Sony TX5, I tried both, and was won over by the damnably clever Sony, its very wide angle 25mm Zeiss lens, touch screen and super slim small size appealed immediately, but in use it has exceeded my expectations.
It, like all cameras operates best within certain peramitters, and I have missed shooting raw but with care in Lightroom I am fine with that, as its always on hand and
is gaining real estate on my website, I defy anyone to distinguish between the canon 7D
and my trusty wee Sony online.
I tell people that there is 27 Japanese Nano scientists inside my capture waffer, so clever is it. Sony have always amazed with the software they bring to product and this is a great example.
The Volvo around the world race has come and gone and now I'm starting to see signs of our sailing season approaching with the launch of Emirates Team New Zealand's new AC72 Americas cup contender.
as if the 40's weren't scary enough, this 72 footer looks frighteningly twitchy, cant wait to see it scouring its track around the hauraki gulf.
